Miix™️ is founded by industry veteran, Hilary Borndahl. Having spent her career on the supplier side, Hilary learned the art and science of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) during her role at The Modeling Group, a Nielsen boutique, in the 2000s, for which she is often quoted telling her story of 'falling in love with marketing mix'.

Hilary has held leadership roles at global firms Kantar and Nielsen, building talent and driving accelerated growth in the Advanced Analytics practices while consulting for Marketers and Insights leaders at Fortune 500 companies. Prior to this, she built her knowledge base of Marketing Research at firms including Hotspex, Maritz, and Thompson Lightstone, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Marketing Management from the University of Guelph, Gordon S. Lang School of Business.

Based in Oakville, Ontario, where she is a mother to three daughters and dog Mason, Hilary enjoys SUP on Lake Ontario, gardening, building lego and puzzles, and exploring nature with her family. Hilary plays an active role in building & supporting the community as co-founder of the charity group 'WishListSEO' and former Community Guider with Girl Guides of Canada.

Passionate about advancing all women, Hilary is the Partnership Lead for the Network of Executive Women (NEW) Toronto chapter.

Rachel Jenkins

Rachel Jenkins is a 2021 graduate of the Lang School of Business Economics, holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Marketing Management Co-op, and a certificate in leadership. Rachel found her passion for marketing when she helped execute a 5,000 person technology conference with Canada's largest software company.

During her education, Rachel completed six co-op terms at various companies including OpenText, Communitch, RBC, Manulife and Axonify focusing on brand, digital, event and social media marketing. Rachel has been with Miix since February 2021 and is passionate about bringing creative data-driven strategies to life

Rachel calls Kitchener-Waterloo home, but has travelled to over 27 countries, her favourites include Switzerland and France! In her free time Rachel enjoys walking her dog Cooper, skiing in Collingwood, wake surfing in Muskoka or jumping on her peloton (thanks covid!)

Chanelle McLeod

Data & Visualization Analyst

Chanelle McLeod is a Data and Visualization Analyst. She began her education journey at Wilfrid Laurier University, graduating in 2019 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance and a minor in French.

Her experience at Laurier has provided several co-op opportunities in a variety of industries, including technology, finance, insurance, and consulting. After completing these internships, Chanelle found her passion for data analysis, which lead her to return to school to study Business Insights and Analytics at Humber College in 2020.

Chanelle enjoys being active by playing soccer on a women's league, and aims to receive her PADI Advanced Open Water certificate in 2021.

She also plays an active role in educating parishes in the GTA about sustainability as a member of the Bishop's Committee on Creation Care and leader, for the Communications sub-committee.

Zubin Khalfay

Zubin Khalfay is a Modeling & Project Analyst. His journey in Canada began when he pursued a Master of Engineering at the University of Waterloo along with a certificate in Business & Entrepreneurship, graduating in early 2020.


It is through Zubin’s experience at a startup company and multiple courses during his post-secondary education, his passion for analytics grew. Since then he has been dedicated to learning and further improving his skills in the world of data analysis.


Zubin loves making oil paintings of nature sceneries. He also relishes living an active lifestyle by playing basketball and soccer. He enjoys going for treks, discovering nature & wildlife.


Home has many different meanings for Zubin. His home country is India and he was born and brought up in the middle-east, spending most of his life in the United Arab Emirates & Oman, whose culture of diversity and inclusion is very close to his heart. Currently, he resides in Waterloo.



Lily Downes is a Co-operative Education Student spending the month of June with Miix Analytics. She is in Grade 11 at St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School and is very excited to gain valuable work experience and learn about the interesting work that Miix does.


Lily is passionate about supporting local charities and has volunteered at Food4Kids Halton, the Fareshare Food Bank, and at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Homework Club program. At school, Lily is a member of Jack.org, a mental health advocacy organization and She’s The First, an organization that focuses on learning about gender inequality.


She is excited to gain more knowledge on the ever-evolving world of analytics and marketing as she looks towards her future interests beyond secondary school.


In her free time, Lily likes to walk her dog, Maisy, bake and spend time with her family.
